PELL CITY, Ala. (March 28, 2008) -- More than 560 riders signed up for today's practice for this weekend's ATV Spring National at Millcreek Raceway. An estimated 700 entries are expected for this weekend's race. The event, Round 2 of this year's ITP/Moose Racing AMA ATV Pro Motocross Nationals, also features the kick off of the 2008 National Amateur ATV Racing Championship.

"This is a great way to start off the ATV racing season," said Sam Gammon, director of the ATV Promoter's Group, which manages the ATV Motocross Series. "We're excited and privileged to welcome some of America's top riders to this event. We've long realized that ATV racing is a true entertainment sport, and these numbers really justify that claim. Riders from factory teams, including Monster Energy/Kawasaki, Can-Am, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as the privateers, are all in attendance this weekend, including John Natalie, Jr., Joe Byrd, Dustin Wimmer, Chad Wienen, Doug Gust, local favorite Keith Little, Russell Shumaker, Jeremy Lawson, Cody Miller, Greg Gee, Sage Baker, Richard Pelchat, and many others.

Pro qualifying is scheduled for tomorrow beginning at noon. Pro finals are scheduled to start at noon on Sunday. Amateur, Pro-Am, Women's, and Junior racing are also scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday.
