Joe Byrd wins Mt. Morris on Dunlop tires
Buffalo, NY: Dunlop racer Joe Byrd continued
his season-long charge to win the 2008 AMA Pro
ATV Motocross Racing Series with an overall win
at the sixth round of the 12-round series at
High Point Raceway, Mt. Morris, Penn., May
24-25. Riding on Dunlop¹s new Quadmax Sport
tires, Byrd scored 3-1 in the two motos,
including the hole-shot in moto two, which he
lead wire-to-wire. The win is Byrd¹s second in
the last three outings on his Honda TRX450R and
pulls him up to third overall in the
championship with 178 points.
³We finally got to enjoy perfect weather and
I was feeling great out there,² said the
34-year-old Union City, Tenn. native from the
podium. ³We worked hard on the set up and it was
working perfectly.²
The next stop for Dunlop¹s Joe Byrd is round
seven of the AMA Pro ATV Motocross Racing Series
scheduled for June 7-8 at Unadilla Valley Sports
Center in New Berlin, N.Y.
