Amateur Report from Muddy Creek Raceway:
Rowe and Heath Win in Tennessee
BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (June
23, 2008) -- Points leaders Samuel Rowe
and Corey Heath won their respective Junior
Class divisions of the ITP Tires/Moose Racing
AMA/ATVA Motocross National Championship Sunday
at Muddy Creek Raceway. The event was part of
the Oakley Southern Nationals here.
Rowe (No. 38 Kawasaki) beat out Jacob French
(No. 37 JB) and Ryan Harness (No. 224 DC) to net
the 70 Modified victory, his fourth this season.
Rowe padded his lead in Championship points and
now sits 10 markers ahead of Harness. French,
Chase Horton (No. 41 KTM) and Alex Szymborski
(No. 84 Cobra).
Heath (No. 8 Cobra) topped the 50 Senior
(6-8) race, earning his fifth win of the season.
Kade Wagner (No. 114 Cobra) and Ethan Putty (No.
6 Cobra) rounded out the podium. Heath currently
holds a 35-point lead in the title chase over
Wagner. Tyler Peters (No. 44 Cobra), Jordan
Digby (No. 88 Cobra) and Putty complete the top
five in points.
The next race for the ITP Tires/Moose Racing
AMA/ATVA National Motocross Championship is
scheduled for July 12-13 at Pleasure Valley
Raceway in Johnstown, Pa.
