Arctic Cat 700H1 Dominates at Sandbox Arena QTC
Team Arctic ATV
Racer Jesse West Wins Again

Jesse West |
Thief River Falls, MN
– Jesse and Josh West continue their winnings
ways for Team Arctic, this time aboard the new
2009 700 H1 4x4. Nobody could stop the duo, or
their machines at the debut Quad Terrain opener
at the Sandbox Arena in New Richmond, WI.
“The new 2009 Arctic Cat ATVs are tough, and
Jesse’s riding abilities make us even tougher to
beat when it comes to Quad Terrain racing
outdoors or indoors, said Ted Bettin, Arctic Cat
race manager.
Josh West qualified first for the 14-lap
final after winning both heats with Jesse
qualifying second. The final turned into a
brother battle as Josh led the way early on, but
Jesse wasn’t far behind battling through
traffic. Eventually Jesse passed Josh and
checked-out until the checkered flag waved for a
first place finish, while Josh held off the
competition for second.
Arctic Cat has a predominantly strong
presence in the Quad Terrain race circuit
because its ATV chassis are so durable. During
the 2006 WPSA QTC season, Daryl Rath brought
home the championship aboard his 650H1. The
following 2007 season saw Jesse West winning the
second consecutive WPSA QTC Championship. The
winning didn’t end in 2007, as Jesse debuted the
all-new 700H1 SE and won the championship at the
first-ever indoor Endurocross.
Jesse said, “It was nice to see my brother on
the podium with me. It’s really a statement for
West Racing and Arctic Cat to post an early win
on the 2009 700H1 SE. The durability on these
machines is second-to-none in these conditions.”
West went on to say, “The Sandbox Arena was a
great place to race. The crew here did an
unbelievable job at building the track. This is
a venue both fans and racers love.”
