Duro Extreme Dirt Track ATVA Nationals Heads To
I-81 Speedway
Tennessee race fans are set to experience the
fastest ATVs on dirt as top Pro riders from
across the nation head for I-81 Speedway in
Greeneville for Round 7 of the Extreme Dirt
Track ATVA Nationals. Current point's leader
Harold Goodman (#708 Honda) of Romulus,
Michigan, followed by Michael Coburn (#038
Honda) of Garretson, South Dakota, will be doing
battle again with the boys down south. Brad
Riley, (# 27 Honda) of High Point, North
Carolina, is currently in third, Chuckie Creech,
(#25 Honda) from Nashville, North Carolina is
fourth, and Danny Hale (#143 Honda) from Hale,
Missouri rounds out the top five.
Promoter Sam Gammon is excited about the
series and all-new track. This short track with
a new bowl infield turn should provide great
racing and different passing lines. The owner
has recently installed all new lights and is
setting up a professional PA system.
Permanent bathrooms, with hot showers for men
and women, along with plenty of parking should
make this event a hit with everyone.
The gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. on
Thursday, August 14. Camping is free. Friday,
August 15, sign up will be open from 5 p.m. to
8:30 p.m. Practice is set for 5:30 p.m. to 8:30
p.m.
Saturday, August 16, sign up will open at 7
a.m, with amateur and youth practice starting at
8 a.m. Heats and mains follow. Saturday night
racing under the lights will feature all the Pro
and Pro-Am classes. All racing is scheduled for
Saturday with Sunday as a rain date.
