Don’t miss the Extreme Dirt Track Showdown In
Brownstown, Illinois, September 6
The 2008 Duro Extreme Dirt Track ATVA
Nationals Pro Championship and several other
national championships well be decided at the
Fayette County Fairgrounds in Brownstown,
Illinois, on Friday, September 6.
Any one of the three top pro riders could win
the championship.
Harold Goodman (#708, Honda) of Romulus,
Michigan, leads the Pro Championship series by a
slim seven points over Michael Coburn (#038
Honda) of Garretson, South Dakota. Brad Riley
(#23 Honda) of High Point, North Carolina, is
only 18 points behind Coburn.
The final round should be one of the largest
races of the series. The Fayette County Fair
grounds is easy to access from I-70. Take exit
68 and then go two miles east on Hwy 40.
A high-banked large quarter-mile clay oval
will provide high racing speed while the infield
section with option lanes and jumps will test
the riders and equipment.
Concessions will be serving breakfast, lunch
and dinner under a large covered pavilion.
Modern bathrooms, showers, plenty of level
parking and a brand new all aluminum, covered
grandstands will provide excellent viewing for
thousands of fans.
Sign-up will start at 3 p.m. Friday, and
practice will start at 6 p.m. Saturday practice
will start at 8 a.m., followed by qualifying.
The Pro practice will be at 5:30 p.m. All Pro
and Pro-Am classes will race in the evening
program.
Vandalia, Illinois, is justfive5 miles west
