FRE Expands FRE KTM
GNCC ATV Team to include Angel Atwell and Josh
Kirkland alongside Adam McGill
February 11, 2009 - Farr Racing Enterprises
(FRE) is proud to announce the expansion of the
FRE KTM GNCC ATV Team for the 2009 season. Angel
Atwell, Women’s A, and Josh Kirkland, XC-2
Pro-Am, will join Adam McGill to contend the
thirteen-race GNCC ATV series. It is an
impressive combination of top riders contending
in three different classes and chasing three
Championships.
West Virginia’s Adam McGill completed the
2008 GNCC season in the top three of the Pro
class behind Yamaha’s Bill Balance and Suzuki’s
Chris Borich. McGill finished the season with an
impressive four wins. McGill is looking forward
to his second season on the KTM ATV and has set
his sights on the Pro Championship.
Pennsylvania’s Angel Atwell, finished in the
runner-up position in the GNCC Women’s A class
this past season to seven-time Champion, Traci
Cecco. Atwell won five races and finished a mere
two points behind Cecco for the Championship.
Atwell believes that FRE KTM will make the
difference this year.
West Virginia’s Josh Kirkland won the last
two races of the season to finish third in the
XC-2 Pro-Am class. Kirkland has progressed
through the amateur ranks and proves to be quite
a talent as last year was his first season in
XC-2. Kirkland also earned fifteenth overall,
ahead of many Pro riders. Kirkland has his
sights set on the top of XC-2.
Thirteen-time ATV Champion, Tim Farr will
continue to manage the FRE KTM GNCC ATV Team in
2009. Farr is confident and excited about the
season. “FRE KTM is proud to have McGill,
Atwell, and Kirkland on the team. You will be
seeing a lot of orange on the podium this
season. We have a real chance at three
Championships here” said Farr.
