and Pepsi Team Up – Suzuki and Yoshimura Show
Their Support

Dustin Wimmer Flying High |
Pomona, Calif. - April 15, 2009 - ROCKSTAR
Energy Drinks has teamed up with Pepsi in a
business arrangement that will see the soft
drink giant distribute ROCKSTAR Energy Drinks.
To help usher in the new business arrangement,
ROCKSTAR and Pepsi threw a well-attended "Pep
Rally" for about 1,000 people to help launch the
partnership. The event was held at the L.A.
County Fairgrounds in Pomona California, home of
drag racing's Winter Nationals.
The event showcased ROCKSTAR's family of
athletes and sporting activities with numerous
off-road truck racing teams, freestyle athletes,
surfers, skateboarders, and BMX athletes, and of
course Team ROCKSTAR/Makita/Suzuki racing
vehicles.
Team ROCKSTAR/Makita/Suzuki showcased Road
Racing Team bikes of Mladin and crew, Dustin
Wimmer's ATV Pro Championship quad, and Chad
Reed's Supercross #1 RMZ-450 on display. Pepsi
and ROCKSTAR employees enjoyed tours of team
transporters and learned about the various
Suzuki racing machines while enjoying the music,
food and ROCKSTAR.
"This is a really fun event and a great way
to launch our new distribution with Pepsi,"
ROCKSTAR's Marketing Director Mike Kelso said.
"Pepsi provides industry leading customer
service and is very aggressive. I think this new
relationship is a perfect marriage that will
benefit both of these fine companies. It's also
a good way to introduce the Pepsi people to our
racing family, and all the various athletes who
compete under the ROCKSTAR banner. We couldn't
be more thrilled."
Suzuki is proud to be a part of the ROCKSTAR
family," American Suzuki's National Sales
Manager Rod Lopusnak commented. "ROCKSTAR has
been an important partner with Suzuki's racing
efforts for the past three years. We are happy
to see their new alliance with Pepsi and are
pleased to be able to bring attention to the
ROCKSTAR brand through our racing efforts. To
date, ROCKSTAR/Makita/Suzuki racing teams are at
the front of the AMA Superbike, Supercross, Pro
ATV, and GNCC Pro ATV championship series. We
are happy to help provide this positive exposure
to ROCKSTAR and all our program partners."
