from WORCS Round #4
WORCS Rd#4: 5/3/09- -Milford, Ca
Hurricane. Ut- 5/5/09 - DATS Racing made
their way to northern California this past
weekend to take part in the WORCS ATV series.
Honeylake MX, an old school, historical rich
racetrack was home to Round #4 this past
weekend. Johnny Shafe stayed consistent and
brought his number 12 home in 11th place.
Johnny was in a 4-way battle for 6th, but found
the rock that was getting everyone along the
path and had to come in for some repairs.
He was running very well and was working toward
the top 5. Johhny currently sits 9th
overall in WORCS Pro points.
Russell Shumaker had a great weekend going
until he became victim to the WORCS track.
He misjudged the rocks coming up during the race
and it wreaked havoc with the rear sprocket
guard and sprocket, which ultimately ended his
day.
“For a true Motocross rider he began to adapt
very well and with a few more rounds he will get
a handle on this WORCS thing and be a contender.
He was very fast and was very impressed with the
WORCS DATS Racing Kawasaki KFX 450R.” DATS
Racing Manager Darin Snow.
DATS will head to Washington as they take on
the “tree factor” for Round 5, which will be
held in June at Riverdale Raceway, just outside
of Toutle, WA.
