Royal Purple is the
Official Oil of King of the Hammers
JOHNSON VALLEY, CA, DECEMBER 8,
2009: Hammerking Productions announces
Royal Purple as the Official Oil of the 2010
Griffin King of the Hammers.
“Royal Purple synthetic lubricants are specially
formulated to excel in a variety of conditions
ranging from your everyday driving to the most
outrageous of extreme conditions,” states
Patrick Burris, Royal Purple’s Motorsports
Marketing Coordinator. “The King of the Hammers
event is a perfect pairing for Royal Purple and
it’s products, not only in the overall event but
for all of the teams participating and winning
with Royal Purple running through their veins.”
“We are excited to have Royal Purple on board
this year as our Official Oil, the need for high
quality lubricants that can perform in extreme
conditions is important for every racer.” said
Dave Cole, co-founder of Hammerking Productions.
“We are glad to see Royal Purple supporting the
Nevada Union High School team and other racers
at this years King of the Hammers.”
Royal Purple scoured the field of potential
racers and sponsored racers and out of all of
the teams that Royal Purple supports they have
chosen to back the Nevada Union High School team
for the race entry in the 2010 Griffin King of
the Hammers. “We had so many teams approach us
and there was quite a lot of competition to get
our sponsored entry into the race, but we
believed in the Nevada Union High School team
project because its not just a buggy that they
are throwing money at, they are learning and
exploring and taking their project to the next
level each step of the way” said Burris. “We
have supported this project since it’s inception
and it really highlights the talent of the next
generation and the great capabilities that the
future of our industry has to look forward to.”
“We were really revved up when we found out that
we had been chosen to receive the Royal Purple
sponsorship for this event,” stated Nevada Union
High School Shop Director and Team Leader Joe
Silva. Silva and his core group of 20 high
school students have been building the King of
the Hammers buggy from scratch to race this
year.
