The River Ranch GNCC Race Report
River Ranch, Florida, February 27, 2010
Yokley Racing National Guard Polaris Team
Rider Jarrod McClure finished 7th Overall and
6th in the XC1 Pro Class today in Round 1 of the
2010 GNCC Series. There were 169 total
entries with 16 XC1 Pro Riders.
Summary
Yokley Racing began the 2010 season on a high
note with Team Rider Jarrod McClure finishing
strong despite some delays on the course today.
Jarrod signed with the team in the off-season,
and has spent the winter getting his new Polaris
Outlaw 450 dialed in. Team owner William
Yokley has worked with EXIT Suspension and Roll
Design the past several months in making the
2010 450 Outlaw a legitimate contender in the
series.
Jarrod got a great start and went into the
woods in 4th place. He kept pace with the
leaders until a stick kicked up under the
machine and derailed the chain. The chain
was jammed up in the engine cases by the
countershaft sprocket. After a lengthy
delay, he was able to get the chain back on the
sprockets. The chain was stretched and
came off again down the trail. Jarrod
nursed the machine to the finish without losing
very many places.
Jarrod said, “The bike worked great today,
and other than the chain getting knocked off, I
had no problems. I felt strong and can’t
wait for the next race!” William Yokley
said, “The Polaris is working really well, and
Jarrod rode a smart race today. I’m very
optimistic about our chances this year!”
The team heads to Washington Georgia for
Round 2 this next weekend. Jarrod will
compete in the ATV XC1 Pro class and William
will compete in the UTV side by side class
driving his Polaris RZR.
