Chino, Calif. – May 4, 2010 – It was another victorious weekend for Yoshimura-powered ATV racers as three of them swept the podium at Birch Creek in Danville, Virginia. Round 3 of the AMA ATV MX series saw Josh Creamer, Dustin Wimmer, and Thomas Brown on the box after two exciting motos of fast-paced action.

While battling 90-degree weather and humidity, the Yoshimura racers didn’t have to fight for power as their quads are fully equipped to get to the front of the pack. Yoshimura’s Harold Goodman grabbed the holeshot as the gate dropped in Moto 1, and Creamer came out of the starting gate in fourth place and quickly made his way to second, finishing there just behind his teammate and defending AMA ATV MX Champion Dustin Wimmer who won. Thomas Brown worked his way to third by the end of the Moto 1 with his Yoshimura-prepped Yamaha YFZ450, making it known that he came to Virginia to do some of his best racing.

In Moto 2, Wimmer took the holeshot but unfortunately he couldn’t hold his ground due to his seat coming off. Like a true champion, Wimmer kept his focus and managed to finish in fifth place, putting him in second overall for the day. Creamer took the win in the moto, therefore taking his second straight win and his third podium of the year. Creamer now has the point lead with 131 points, two points ahead of Wimmer. Thomas Brown finished in third, right behind Creamer and Wimmer, and ended up third overall.

“I had a good first moto,” Wimmer said. “My teammate and I battled it out a little bit. In the second moto, I got off to a good start and then my seat fell off on the third lap and there just wasn’t too much I could do besides try to hang on. I had to stand a lot and my legs were giving out and I had to let people go by so I didn’t crash. I just tried to suck it up and get as many points as I could.”

Yoshimura’s Pat Brown finished his season-best of seventh overall after a 9-6 finish in the motos. Brown powered his way past some tough competitors to earn some good points toward the series overall. Goodman finished 13-10, just missing the top 10 in the overall at Birch Creek.

“All of these guys are showing what Yoshimura power and performance can do,” Marketing Manager Kory Ellis said. “They’re putting in a lot of effort, and with the help of their race-tuned quads, it’s paying off in the results. We’re happy to have three Yoshimura-supported racers on the podium in Virginia, and we’re looking forward to the rest of the season.”

The fourth round of the 2010 AMA ATV MX Championship takes place on May 15-16 at Sunset Ridge MX in Walnut, Illinois.
