Reynoldsburg, OH / June 15, 2010 /  Team Mushin Racing made the trip to the inaugural AMA-ATV Motocross Championship in Millville, Minnesota at the famed Spring Creek MX facility with one thing in mind, making history.
On Saturday morning, June 12th, Brian Johnson (#55) of Riverview, Florida set the wheels in motion for the Mushin Racing team.

Johnson, competing in the College 16-24 class, turned the corner at the holeshot in the lead, the first ever MX National holeshot at the facility. And then, won the moto, the first ever AMA-ATV Motocross Championship moto win to ever be recorded at the Spring Creek MX Park. Johnson went 1-3 in the class for a 3rd overall for the event which secured his standing as the points leader in the class, leading the runner-up after 6 rounds by 28 points.
Mushin Racing's Chase Snapp (#22) continued to put the team in the history books by nabbing the overall win in the Pro/Am Unlimited class with 2-1 moto scores. Snapp's run at Spring Creek helped him close the gap on the front runner in the overall standings and after Round 6 he was a mere 2 points out of first place.

Youth Team Press Release

Mushin Racing Youth Stake Spring Creek Podium Claim

Reynoldsburg, OH / 06.15.2010 /  They said they were going to do it and that they did. Mushin Racing's Youth Team adapted to the Spring Creek MX track in Millville, Minnesota on June 12-13 at the sixth round of the 2010 AMA-ATV Motocross Championship and, although the layout was an enormous challenge, laid claim to 3 overall wins.

The youngest and by far the tyke of the team, Ashton Ward took both moto wins in the 50cc Limited Junior (4-6) class to lay claim to his first ever win of the season at the inaugural MX event held at Minnesota's Spring Creek MX. His win closed the points gap between himself and the leader of the 50 Ltd. Jr. class, bringing him to within 8 points of the top spot in the overall series' standings.

Cole Shake, a Minnesota native, not only made the home state trip to Millville for the first time event at the facility, but decided to toss his helmet into the ranks of the 90 Auto Junior (8-11) class for the first time. And, guess what? He not only conquered the steep, rather rough Spring Creek track, but put a win under his belt in the new class with 2-1 moto scores.

She's a cutie off the track but a fierce Mushin Racing competitor on the track. Maci Devenport put her second win of the season in the record books at Millville in Mid-June by securing 1-2 moto scores in the 90 Auto Senior (12-15) class. Devenport's performance at Spring Creek brought her to within 4 points of the class overall points leader as she charges for the top podium spot at the end of the season.
