Chino, Calif. – June 28, 2010 – Defending
GNCC ATV champion Chris Borich, aboard his
Yoshimura-powered Suzuki QuadRacer R450, took
his seventh win of the GNCC series in the XC1
Pro class at the notoriously tough Snowshoe GNCC
in Snowshoe, West Virginia, on Saturday. Borich
has now won three in a row, and has been on the
podium at every race so far in 2010.
The Snowshoe GNCC is known for its difficult
conditions and the high-altitude track tests the
fitness of both riders and their machines. But
for Borich, it was nothing out of the ordinary.
Making use of his Yoshimura engine and exhaust,
Borich quickly grabbed the holeshot and never
looked back. As the competition struggled,
Borich kept increasing his lead, eventually
crossing the finish line nearly a minute and a
half ahead of second place.
“It was a great race. The Yoshimura engine
worked awesome,” said Borich after the race.
“Everyone was having setup problems due to the
elevation, but I got the holeshot and the Yosh
motor never had trouble climbing the big
ski-lift mountains. I can't ask for anything
else!”
The win gives Borich a 40-point lead as the
GNCC series now goes on summer break. Racing
resumes September 11-12 at Unadilla in New
Berlin, New York.
