Chino, Calif. – July 6, 2010 – Yoshimura
racers added to their collection of championship
points at Pleasure Valley in Armagh,
Pennsylvania, on Sunday. Four of the top-10
racers were powered by Yoshimura, and Josh
Creamer and Dustin Wimmer are still on top of
the leader board in championship points heading
into the final three rounds of the 2010 season.
In the first moto, Dustin Wimmer and his
Yoshimura-powered Suzuki QuadRacer R450 battled
for the lead the entire race. The defending AMA
ATV Motocross Champion’s capable and powerful
quad kept him in contention for the lead, but
when the checkered flag flew he was in second
place. His teammate Josh Creamer took his
Yoshimura-prepped Suzuki through the pack to
finish fourth after a rough start. Yoshimura
riders Thomas Brown and Pat Brown finished
eighth and tenth, respectively.
Moto two had a different ending for Josh
Creamer. The current points leader was
unsatisfied with his finish in the first moto,
so he shot out of the gate in the second moto
ready to show the world what his
Yoshimura-powered machine can do. He found his
way up front quickly and then checked out.
Creamer easily won the moto and added to his
already sizeable points lead. Dustin Wimmer
found himself in fifth by the end of the moto,
and Thomas Brown wasn’t too far behind him in
seventh. Pat Brown took ninth in the moto.
“The weekend went well, and even though I
struggled making passes in moto one, I regrouped
and we made a few changes to the quad and it
worked!” Creamer said after the race. “The
Yoshimura motor powered me to the moto win and
second overall. I went into the weekend with one
goal and I achieved it with the help of
Yoshimura.”
At the end of the day, Josh Creamer and his
Yoshimura quad were on the podium in second
place overall. Creamer continues to lead the
series in points and is now 25 points ahead of
second place, which is held by teammate Dustin
Wimmer. Wimmer finished fourth overall at
Pleasure Valley, Thomas Brown took seventh for
the day, and Pat Brown came in eighth overall.
“Yoshimura is really proud to be powering such
great racers,” ATV Marketing Manager Kory Ellis
said. “All of our racers have put together a
great season so far and their results show that
not only do the best riders in the world choose
Yoshimura products, but Yoshimura products work
on whatever brand ATV you choose.”
The series moves to Unadilla in New York on July
18th. With only three races remaining in the
season, the Yoshimura riders are powering their
way to another championship year.
