BNR A Team Leads Parts Unlimited GNCC Dealer Challenge

Morgantown, W. Va. (April 9, 2012) – After three rounds of the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series in the books, the Parts Unlimited GNCC Dealer Challenge is fully underway. An overwhelming 47 teams signed up for the program, which is designed to enhance the involvement of dealership support to racers in the Can-Am GNCC Series, and battles are already shaping up for the lead position in the overall point standings.
North Lima, Ohio’s BNR A Team currently leads the way with a full slate of ATV racers on board. Thomas Koontz (Junior A 22+) heads BNR with teammates Robert Smith (U2), Baby Mac (College A) and Kevin McKeown (College B) helping to put BNR on top of the leader board after only three rounds of racing.

Caser, North Carolina’s DeRisi Racing Woodhead team only trails BNR by eleven points in the overall standings with stellar performances so far by ATV riders Braden Henthorn, who secured his first win in the XC2 Pro Am class at round three, and teammates David Reeves (Junior A 22+), Brycen Neal (College A) and Kylie Ahart (Women).

The team edges out Greg’s ATV Team II, who currently sits in third place overall. Pat McGuire (XC2 Pro Am) leads the way with teammates Jordan Digby (90 Open 8-11), Dustin Dickerson (24+ C) and Aaron DeLancy (Senior B 38+), all putting in great finishes to put their team up front in the early stages of the competition.

Only a few points back in the fourth place position, it’s GT Thunder Team I, out of Millersburg, Ohio. GT Thunder Team I consists of ATV riders Dave Simmons (Masters 50+), Glenn McConnell (Masters 50+), Brayden Shick (Schoolboy A/B) and Tom Wright (Senior A 38+). And yet another Ohio-based team inside the top five is R2W2 of Toledo, made up of ATV racers Casey Repass (Vet A 28+), Rusty Repass (Senior B 38+), Schoolboy (13-15) rider Colton White and Vet B (30+) rider Daniel Webb.

The Parts Unlimited GNCC Dealer Challenge boasts an opportunity for any authorized motorcycle, ATV or accessory dealership to put together a team of racers to compete against other dealership teams throughout the 13-round GNCC Series. Teams will earn points based on each rider’s respective class finish and will be tracked on the GNCC Racing website. The team with the most points at the end of the season wins, and the winning dealership will receive a trip for (2) to Las Vegas for the 2013 Parts Unlimited Dealer Show and VIP access to the Vegas SX, including three nights in a hotel and round trip flights. This is in addition to the variety of advertisement opportunities on both GNCC and Racer X’s online and print assets.
