Sierra Off-Road Riding Association (SORRA)

Two Full Days of Ultimate XC Racing

Round 6 of the Sierra Off-Road Riding Association (SORRA) 2012 Cross Country Race Series was held in Wilseyville, CA at the Blue Mountain Event Center.   This was the final round of the series and the most grueling one yet.  ATV racers and families were camped at the heart of the race track, ready to weather the rain and mud for some crazy XC racing.  The weather didn’t keep entries down though.  SORRA entries were high, especially in the Ladies Wee Class (a show all in its own, and a spectator favorite!).

The race course was wet and muddy, with tight tree sections, slippery hill climbs, deep water crossings and puddle-splashing straightaways….all giving the spectators an awesome show!  Track Officials were consistently monitoring the course throughout every race, making quick modifications as the track conditions changed.  This final round of SORRA was ultimately a test of skill, preparation, and which ATV could withstand the elements that Mother Nature provided.
