The Prairie
400 4x4 is Kawasaki's flagship all-terrain
vehicle. its features include a liquid-cooled,
391cc, single over-head cam, four-valve
four-stroke engine; full-time four-wheel
drive with limited-slip front differential;
shaft drive; and utilizes the Kawasaki Automatic
Power-Drive System (KAPS). The fully-automatic
Prairie requires no shifting once the transmission
is placed into High or Low range or reverse.
There are dual front disc brakes and MacPherson
strut front suspension. Its composite cargo
racks can carry nearly 250 pounds and it
can tow over 1100 pounds. The Prairie 400
4x4 has a suggested retail price of $6,099.
