alternative. It features the same dependable
290cc, air-cooled four-stroke engine
as its four-wheel drive sibling, but
utilizes a dual-mode rear-wheel drive
differential. Combined with a five-speed
plus reverse transmission with automatic
clutch, this drive system allows the
Bayou 300 to make tight turns on difficult
trails or tread lightly on delicate
surfaces, but it can also be shifted
into the "locked" position to provide
maximum two-wheel traction on slippery
surfaces.

front suspension and a semi-independent
