And it is matched to a five-speed-plus-reverse transmission with automatic clutch, so the rider is able to select the right gear for every work situation.

Transferring that power to the rear wheels is dependable shaft drive and a dual-mode differential. This drive system allows the Bayou 300 to make tight turns in confined areas or tread lightly on delicate surfaces, but it can also be shifted into the “locked” position to provide maximum two-wheel traction on slippery surfaces.

Suspension duties are handled by dual A-arms with dual shocks up front and a semi-independent system with dual shocks on the rear. This durable system permits the Bayou 300 to carry 210 pounds of cargo on its steel racks, as well as tow up to 700 pounds.

Other features include dual front disc brakes and sealed rear drum brakes, electric start, an easy-to-read fuel gauge, and a molded-pin accessory connector, so electrical hookups for trailers are made quick and easy.
