Industrial-grade utility vehicles have increasingly become popular for municipalities, airports, factories and other businesses that need to transport cargo or equipment within a specified work area, and the utility vehicle best suited to meet those needs is the Kawasaki MULE™ 3000.

Kawasaki’s two-wheel drive, off-highway utility vehicle features the body design and many of the same standard features as the four-wheel drive MULE 3010. This includes a steel tilting cargo bed, bench seat, the Kawasaki Automatic Power-Drive System (KAPS) and automotive-type controls.

MULE™ 3000Available in new Aztec Red or traditional Hunter Green, the MULE 3000 has aggressive styling and a rugged grille with rounded fenders. The body panels of the cab are made of durable, color-infused plastic to help hide scuffing, and the front hood of the MULE 3000 can be lifted with the touch of a button to reveal a large storage space, which also has convenient D-rings to help secure cargo. Located beneath the front grille are winch-ready tabs for easy winch mounting, and a passenger-side grab rail is mounted on the cab frame. Plus, two lever latches make opening and closing the tailgate easy.

Controls on the MULE 3000 are ergonomically located for comfort and convenience. The forward/reverse shift lever is located within easy reach on the dash. The coolant temperature warning light is easy to see, and a push-button control activates 35-watt cat-eye headlights. Additional features include an hour meter, fuel gauge and horn.
A liquid-cooled four-stroke V-twin engine provides power for the MULE 3000. A large radiator and fan help maintain consistent engine temperature, even in hot climates, for increased durability. A digital electronic ignition enhances engine response and helps to prevent spark plug fouling. A double-barrel carburetor with dual intake tract accurately meters fuel and air flow for more complete combustion. There is a cyclone-type air cleaner and air restriction gauge to indicate when the filter needs to be cleaned or replaced. The fuse box, oil dipstick and oil filler tube are located underneath the seat for easy access.

MULE™ 3000The MULE 3000 utilizes KAPS, Kawasaki’s highly refined continuously-variable transmission, to provide a wide operating range for abundant pulling power and quick acceleration. Dependable, low-maintenance shaft drive transfers power to a dual-mode differential that can be locked to maximize rear-wheel traction, or unlocked to minimize ground disturbance when making tight turns.

The chassis of the MULE 3000 has stiff front springs to maintain optimum ground clearance and the De Dion rear leaf-spring suspension is designed to carry heavy loads, yet provides a smooth ride when the cargo bed is empty. Self-adjusting hydraulic drum brakes at all four wheels provides progressive stopping power and have extra flanges with upgraded seals to keep out mud and water. Rear wheel bearings are highly durable and have special seals for better protection from water. Completing the chassis are 23-inch tires that provide a comfortable ride and maximum traction for a variety of surfaces.

MULE™ 3000The MULE 3000 can carry 803 pounds in its steel cargo bed and can tow 1,200 pounds. Those who want to customize their MULE 3000 can choose from a vast array of accessories available through Kawasaki MULE dealers. Consumers may also purchase accessories through the internet at

The MULE 3000 has a suggested retail price of $7,499 and comes standard with a 12-month, unlimited mileage warranty that can be extended up to three years.
