The Vinson has proven to
be a class-leader in the sport-utility category
and continues to lead the way in
2007. The ‘07 Vinson 4x4 automatic is back with
an aggressive look, powerful engine, and all the
features
you’ve come to expect from Suzuki ATVs. The
Vinson 4x4 automatic is available in red, black,
or green as
well as Advantage® Max-4 HDTM camouflage
(LT-A500FC); perfect for hunters and outdoorsmen
looking
for the ultimate sport-utility, off-road
machine.
The Vinson utilizes a durable 493cc four-stroke,
liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, SOHC, four-valve
engine.
It’s equipped with a gear-driven balancer shaft
for reduced vibration and is designed for high
torque output
and quick acceleration. Power is transferred
through a fully automatic QuadMatic V-belt
transmission with
continuously variable gear ratio, centrifugal
automatic clutch and a two-speed
sub-transmission. This last
includes a reverse gear and an advanced engine
braking system to reduce downhill speeds. Choose
from
2WD or 4WD with the convenient handlebar-mounted
electric push-button system. The Vinson also
comes
equipped with a torque-sensing limited-slip
front differential for smooth, efficient power
while in 4WD
mode. In-gear starting allows for quick and easy
re-starts regardless of transmission setting. A
compact
digital instrument display provides all
necessary rider information, including
speedometer, odometer,
twin-tripmeters, clock, digital fuel gauge and
gear position. The strong and lightweight Vinson
frame
utilizes large-diameter, thin-walled tubing for
maximum strength and minimal weight. The front
suspension is double A-arm style with
five-position, preload-adjustable shocks that
provide 7.1 inches
of wheel travel and maximum ground clearance
(9.8 in.). A swingarm-type rear suspension uses
a single
preload-adjustable shock for 7.9 inches of
travel. Lightweight, cast-aluminum wheels are
mounted.
Large 190mm disc brakes slow things at the
front, while a single 216mm disc handles braking
at the rear.
A lightweight skid plate and bumper guards also
are mounted to provide maximum protection with
minimal
resistance over rocks and other obstacles.
High-capacity racks are included on both the
front and rear of
the ATV for ancillary items. The 2007 Vinson
also features an easy-to-use automotive style
gear selector.
Other features include bright, fender-mounted,
multi-reflector headlights, large taillight/brakelight
combo,
and an additional 40-watt handlebar-mounted
headlight. A 325-watt charging system and a
12V/120W
electrical outlet are mounted to the front
fender with standard automotive-style outlets
for the use of a
wide range of electrical accessories.
