Boasting a pedigree entrenched in tough,
rugged performance and a well-deserved
reputation for providing the ultimate in
comfort, the new Grizzly 350 4x4 raises the bar
in 2007 with the addition of independent rear
suspension (IRS). Now more than ever, the
Grizzly 350 is a veritable mirror image of its
feature-laden Grizzly brethren. The new IRS
joins Yamaha-exclusive technologies such as the
user-friendly On-Command® push-button 4WD system
and bulletproof Ultramatic® automatic
transmission with industry-leading all-wheel
engine braking.
This class-defining bear bests the
competition by utilizing a 348cc SOHC engine fed
by a Mikuni 33mm BSR carburetor for a smooth yet
powerful ride that offers reactive throttle
response and consistent power throughout the rev
range. Set to tackle most terrain thrown its
way, the Grizzly 350 independent double wishbone
configuration offers up to 6.3” of travel up
front, while the IRS ups the ante both in length
of travel and ground clearance out back. Both
the front and rear suspension systems are fully
adjustable so the rider can make adjustments to
match the terrain or his riding style. The
suspension adds to the maneuverability of
machine by offering up light steering, tight
turning radius and nimble overall handling.
For 2007, the Grizzly 350 not only adds IRS,
but it also sees it’s On Command system add diff
lock, for three positions for the rider to
choose from, offering more options for matching
machine to terrain. And, if that terrain happens
to be a little wet, no worries. The new
fully-sealed rear brake and gear case is up to
the challenge. And, the all-new, more aggressive
Maxxis tires improve handling and traction
whatever the terrain. The larger lugs that make
up the aggressive tread pattern make tackling
tough terrain such a treat you’ll find yourself
searching out that nasty stuff rather than
avoiding it.
As if this wasn’t enough, the Grizzly 350s
features steel racks that can handle 88 lbs. in
the front and 176 lbs. in the rear, and feature
a rust-resistant Duragrip finish that can
accommodate everything from a toolbox to camping
gear. A rear center-mounted hitch can also haul
a whopping 1,102 lbs. demonstrating that this
bear truly is worth its brawn.
The 2007 Grizzly 350 IRS Automatic 4x4 is
available in Hunter Green, Steel Blue and Red
and will be in Yamaha dealerships in October
2006. The Grizzly 350 IRS Automatic 4x4 will
also be available in Realtree Hardwoods® High
Definition Camo at Yamaha dealerships nationwide
beginning November 2006.
