CYPRESS, Calif. June, 6,
2008 -- Boasting a pedigree entrenched in
tough, rugged performance and a well deserved
reputation for providing the ultimate in
comfort, the Grizzly 350 line-up offers three
choices to meet specific riders needs.
Yamaha started with the budget-friendly Grizzly
Auto 2WD, then added a 4WD option and most
recently raised the bar with the addition of
independent rear suspension (IRS) in the Grizzly
350 Automatic 4x4 IRS.
The Grizzly 350 Automatic 4x4 IRS is a veritable
mirror image of its feature-laden Grizzly
brethren. The IRS is matched with
Yamaha-exclusive technologies such as the
user-friendly On-Commandฎ push-button 4WD system
and bulletproof Ultramaticฎ automatic
transmission with industry-leading all-wheel
engine braking.
This class-defining bear bests the competition
by utilizing a 348cc SOHC engine fed by a Mikuni
33mm BSR carburetor for a smooth yet powerful
ride that offers reactive throttle response and
consistent power throughout the rev range.
Set to tackle tough terrain, the Grizzly 350s
independent double wishbone configuration offers
up to 6.3 inches of travel up front, while the
IRS ups the ante both in length of travel and
ground clearance out back. Both the front
and rear suspension systems are fully adjustable
so the rider can make adjustments to match the
terrain or riding style.
The Grizzly 350 4x4s tackle terrain with
Yamahas class-exclusive On-Command system
including push-button 2WD, 4WD and 4WD with diff
lock. The fully-sealed rear wet brake and
gear case help in wet conditions, and the
aggressive Maxxis tires provide excellent
handling and traction regardless of terrain.
For tough jobs, the Grizzly 350s feature steel
racks that can handle 88 pounds in the front and
176 pounds in the rear, and feature a
rust-resistant Duragrip finish that can
accommodate everything from a toolbox to camping
gear. A rear center-mounted hitch can also
haul a whopping 1,102 pounds.
For the budget-minded rider, or one looking for
a true workhorse, the Grizzly 350 is more than
capable for a long day of work on the farm or
ranch.
The 2009 Grizzly 350 Automatic 4x4 IRS, with an
MSRP of $5,699, will be available in Hunter
Green, Black Metallic and Steel Blue in July
2009. A Realtree AP HDฎ Camouflage
version, MSRP $6,049, is available in June.
The Grizzly 350 Automatic 4x4 will come in
Green, Black Metallic and Steel Blue in
September with an MSRP of $5,199 and Realtree
AP HDฎ Camouflage in June with an MSRP of
$5,549. The Grizzly 350 Automatic 2WD will
be available in Hunter Green and Black Metallic
in August with an MSRP of $4,299.
